Man thrown out of St Kilda apartment after neighbour is subjected to racist abuse

A MAN has been forced out of his public housing apartment in St Kilda after a visitor to his home threatened to kill a neighbour.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal last week slapped Phillip Handsley with an eviction notice after a racist and homophobic attack on his upstairs neighbour at a Port Phillip Housing Association-managed building earlier this year.

Naser Eminovski told the tribunal he feared for his life after Mr Handsley and another man, Joe, screamed at him “come out you c**t, I will kill you”.

The men also hurled homophobic and racial abuse at Mr Eminovski, calling him a “p****er” and scrawling the word “Muslim” on his door alongside an offensive image of male genitalia during the April 11 incident.
