I write to inform you of some personal and organisational news. After careful evaluation, I have decided the time is right to put in place a transition to a new Executive Director at AHURI Limited. I have advised the Board Chairman and Directors that I will finish my tenure at AHURI in December 2017.
I have had fourteen highly rewarding years as Executive Director of AHURI and believe the Institute is in a strong position to make the transition to new leadership. AHURI’s professionalism, commitment to excellence and strong reputation for evidence based policy development mean that the Institute is very well placed to continue to make a significant difference to housing and urban policy across Australia.
To enable a smooth and planned transition, the Board is undertaking a methodical recruitment process to engage a new Executive Director. In the interim it is business as usual for AHURI and I look forward to leading the Institute through a very busy second half of 2017. We have a number of important research Inquiries underway with interim findings from our Inquiries examining social impact investment, taxation reform, the future of the private rental sector, and affordable housing supply to be released in coming months.
