The NZ Branch’s first ‘Housing Buzz’ networking event was a great success. Jeff Mosley, a community development practitioner from the U.S. on an Ian Axford Fellowship in Public Policy, discussed his research into how communities secure capital to deliver public/affordable housing, as well as affordable housing delivery mechanisms in the US.
During the lively Q&A session, Jeff shared his observations on issues of capacity that limit housing delivery and also asked questions to inform his research.
The event was attended by a mix of housing providers, Iwi, local councils and housing related consultants and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. So looks like ‘Housing Buzz’ is an Aussie import we will be more than happy to adopt – thank you Sydney!
