Perth photographer Phil England to open Eye Contact exhibition confronting WA’s homelessness

Phil England is seeking to change the way society views homeless people.

The Perth photographer has captured the stories of 20 homeless West Australians in his Eye Contact exhibition.

England forces onlookers to confront the issues his subject’s face, depicting their life views on larger than life portraits.

“There is a story behind every one of these people – some of the answers to the questions are very insightful,” he said.

The powerful exhibition, an Rotary Club initiative, is on display in Perth’s Cloisters Centre from tomorrow night.
